The muffuletta sandwich was invented by the founder of Central Grocery to feed the Sicilian truck farmers who sold their produce at the Farmer's Market on Decatur Street in the French Quarter.
This is an awesome sandwich and one of the best budget lunch experiences in the Quarter.
